The small town of Pryor, Oklahoma, was shaken to its core as Rocklahoma 2019 arrived, bringing with it a barrage of electrifying performances, passionate fans, and an unyielding spirit of rock and roll. Over the course of three days, the festival showcased a lineup of legendary bands, rising stars, and established icons, making it a truly unforgettable experience for all in attendance.
Day One:
As the sun began its descent on the horizon, the first day of Rocklahoma 2019 kicked off with a sonic explosion that set the tone for the rest of the weekend. The stage was set for hard-hitting bands such as Seether, Pop Evil, and Buckcherry, each delivering a relentless barrage of energy and raw power. Day Three:
As the final day of Rocklahoma 2019 arrived, the festival-goers showed no signs of fatigue. The atmosphere was charged with anticipation as fans eagerly awaited the performances of rock heavyweights like Slayer, Anthrax, and Disturbed.
Slayer’s final performance on the Rocklahoma stage was nothing short of monumental. The thrash metal legends unleashed a torrent of sonic fury, leaving the crowd in a state of pure adrenaline. With their ferocious stage presence and brutal sound, Slayer bid farewell in the most emphatic way possible, leaving an indelible mark on the festival’s history.
However, it was Disturbed who stole the show on the closing night. From the moment they burst onto the stage, the crowd was in their thrall. Frontman David Draiman’s commanding vocals, coupled with the band’s captivating stage production, created an atmosphere of sheer intensity. Their performance of “Down with the Sickness” was a highlight, with the audience erupting into a frenzy of mosh pits and raised fists.
